Meet Our Team
I balance the needs of the practice, with still working hands on with clients. My main focus for the practice is ensuring that the business works to deliver the highest possible standards and grows. When working with clients, I tend to be focusing on businesses which are looking for assistance to improve performance or at the other end of the spectrum assisting the owners sell the business or deal with succession planning.
Every day is different at the Lincoln Office and I enjoy balancing my roles of Practice Manager and Accountant. I give direction and training to the team where necessary, and spend time co-ordinating and reviewing jobs in order to ensure that our highest standards are maintained. I particularly enjoy meeting with clients to provide tax planning advice and am always happy to assist with practice enquiries.
Senior Client Manager
My day to day work is preparation, finalisation and submission of statutory limited company accounts and corporation tax returns. I also deal with client queries and advise on matters related to limited companies.
Sarah is currently on maternity leave and we look forward to welcoming her back in 2024.
My day to day activities mostly revolve around preparing and submitting limited company accounts and Corporation Tax returns for clients. I also gain valuable experience by attending client meetings with Chris, which helps me improve my skills and expertise in the field.
Personal Tax Senior
I prepare accounts and tax returns from client’s records and analysis for Limited companies.
Personal Tax Manager
I work in the tax department where we work as a team to produce tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts. I also prepare capitals gains tax computations and 60-day returns for residential property disposals. I answer tax queries relating to personal tax, business tax and capital gains tax. I communicate with HMRC on a regular basis both over the phone and through written correspondence.
As well as dealing with clients over the telephone, I also deal with clients that call in the office and deal with day to day queries and assist where possible. I have taken on many new roles since our office merged in November 2021, where I now deal with a new computerised system, liase with HMRC, prepare payments for banking and distribute post. I am also happy to assist colleagues where needed.
On a day to day basis I work alongside Sara in reception answering emails, dealing with clients in and out the office, helping with general queries and helping with general admin duties. I also help the Personal Tax department submitting tax returns and sending out email confirmations for clients' payments on account.
Day to day I prepare and submit VAT returns for quarterly and monthly period ends.
Day to day I complete our clients payrolls and inform clients of their PAYE due (including any outstanding PAYE due previously). I submit and organise pensions, fill out auto enrolment duties for clients and declare their pensions with the pensions regulator. I also complete CITB queries, maternity, sick pay and holiday entitlements, as well as filing and calculating CIS for subcontractors. I am always available to answer client queries and liaise with the HMRC regarding any issues that clients may have.
I make sure the servers are fully functional, network is stable and endeavor to fix issues as they arise.
